Post Saddam Iraq A View from Inside Iraq by Carl Gauss Robert Fisk's article from Iraq gives us a rare view inside Iraq: http://www.zmag.org/content/showarticle.cfm?SectionID=15&ItemID=3737 Continuing War on Iraq by Sophia Barkat The war isn't technically over. Bush Jr. will have to free Iraqi POWs if he declares War. For obvious reasons he wants to imprison political leaders and Iraqi POWs. As the occupation of Iraq continues the death toll on both sides keeps going up. It's reported that 63 American soldiers have died since Iraq was taken over by US forces. The total casualty now at 200 US Soldiers and 3240 Iraqi Civilians dead in Iraq Here's the link: http://story.news.yahoo.com/newstmpl=story&u=/ap/20030628/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq&cid=540&ncid=716 The article quotes a US Military spokesman, as saying: "Combat is not over in this country," amid signs that larger-scale military operations might kick off soon to eliminate armed resistance. by Cherrie Lynn Lipsett re: Sophia's post -- Continuing War on Iraq & More Bush Lies Bush has failed miserably in Iraq just as he has done with the economy and 9/11. On 9/11 the first plane to hit the WTC was of course hijacked for over two hours, I have heard. The radar people phoned the Pentagon, the FBI and finally the White House when there was no response. Now I am not really sure what the scenario of how the contacting of the Administration went for sure. Everyone is passing the buck and saying they got no message from the radar people. HOWEVER I know that is not true!! Point in fact when the golfer's plane was off course during the Clinton Presidency the radar people did inform the White house and President Clinton sent fighters to shadow the plane and to if necessary shoot it down. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THE RADAR PEOPLE CONTACTED THIS Administration!!!! The radar people grew frantic when they found out three other planes were off course. THIS Bush HOUSE DID NOTHING!!! 9/11 did not have to happen. The planes could have been shadowed and shot down. There was two hours for the first plane and over an hour that the others who were off course. Bush did send the economy into recession on purpose but planned to have it back and on course by now. He was told by award-winning economists his plan would not work but yet he did it anyway. The Bush people feel you have to have a down cycle after a long up cycle. That is old thinking!!! We do not have to have a feast-and-famine economy. The Bush Administration was asked by Congress what their plan was for after the war with Iraq. They had no plan. Everyone with any sense was concerned but not the Bush Administration. Everything would work itself out. Just pray to God and he will take care of what you don't know how to do. That is what the evangelistic Christians teach. God helps those who help themselves is what I teach. Iraq is a tinderbox ready to go up. Things are getting worse there. And our brave soldiers are dying, being picked off and are getting really nervous. This did not have to happen. The Bush Administration was told that a power vacuum would be created when they took out the Saddam Hussein regime and there would be no one to fill that power vacuum but religious leaders and that that was a recipe for doom. The Bush Administration was told to flip the people in the Hussein regime and put Americans over them to watch their every move. That way Iraqis who had run the country would seem to be in power and it would be Iraqis who the populace was familiar with and feared and all would go fairly well if the Bush Administration then slowly changed the people out after they had control. I know for a fact the Bush Administration was told this by members of the Clinton Administration who studied doing this themselves and the different alternatives. But the Bush people care more about revenge. "Vengeance is mine" said the Lord. And he is taking his vengeance out on the Bush Administration now!!! The Bush Administration cared more about putting the former regime on a deck of cards to running Iraq. I repeat "the Bush Administration IS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE DEATHS AT THE WORLD TRADE CENTER AND IS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE SOLDIERS THAT ARE NOW BEING PICKED OFF BY THE IRAQI RESISTANCE . THIS Administration IS INEPT AND IRRESPONSIBLE AND IS GETTING AMERICAN CITIZENS KILLED IN RECORD NUMBER DUE TO THEIR INEPTNESS AND IRRESPONSIBILITY!!!!
