Peaceful Resolution of US-Iraq
War? (by Sophia Barkat) A peaceful resolution of the Iraqi Situation? Was this at all possible? I hate it that civilians in Iraq are being bombed and that people like Bush Jr. - with ulterior motives - are carrying out the war. Did Iraq need to be freed? Is there a doubt that civil liberties in Iraq were not taken away? Or is this just Western propaganda so that people could support a western annexation of Iraq just as is happening today? I know that Iraq was the richest Middle Eastern country before the 1990 War. And even with the sanctions they were making money. If so, was there another way to do this? Should we not look at Saddam's legacy as well as Bush's? Any research links/information sources are welcome. Warmonger explains war to peacenik forwarded by gausscg@yahoo.com Since it's a forwarded message we cannot print it here as it would be without author's permission. However, it was so good a discussion on the US-Iraq war would be incomplete without it. So, here's the link to Juryfury Chat post: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/QuietPolyJuryFury/message/393 |
