Soldier or Enemy of the
State?
Does US Govt. inadvertently create Timothy McVeighs? by Sophia Barkat I just read the interview today: http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,109478,00.html He seems like a soldier who has turned around and attacked the very people who he was entrusted to protect. The interview gives you a clue as to the frustrations of soldiers -- universal. Seeing how things are progressing, one wonders if the US Government is under the illusion it can toy with human minds and get away with it? Will the benefits of serving in the military during peacetime -- free college -- be enough to put American kids in the waay of death? The Bush Administrations - father and son - had shown complete disregard for Veterans. It's nothing new. Question is will the trend be repeated forever? Except for Kucinich and Sharpton none of the other Democrats raise a finger at the Defense or War Establishment in Washington DC. Hopes seem to fade. |
