The Bush Charm
Manipulation? by Cherrie Lynn Lipsett Here's a forwarded article by Renana Brooks, analyzing Bush Speeches, titled "A Nation of Victims": http://groups.yahoo.com/group/QuietPolyJuryFury/message/1870 Re: Manipulation? -- And the way people vote and why. by Sophia Barkat It's almost impossible to listen to Junior speak for these reasons. The BS is so clear. It was always the goal of the Bush Administration to give us a President that was as dumb, ignorant, clownish and illiterate as the people who voted him into power. A true representative of the ig'nant masses who call themselves Republican. He compounds ignorance with his other love -- greed. He touts corporate greed like the people who put money into his campaigns -- a true representative of the greedy rich who vote Republican. I think the reason why he speaks the way he does -- We's and Us -- is to manipulate the ignant and the greedy masses, just as you said. "Let's make those people feel like they are involved in the decision-making". To judge the leader one must always look at whom he leads and why they are lead by him. Perhaps then we can see why the language works on the "lead". A huge portion of middle-class voters votes for Parties that offer tax-breaks. It's understandable. No one wants to pay more taxes to get wasted on Defense Products. That's why many people vote Republican. Democrats need to learn something from this and propose more responsible Budgets -- i.e. slash ridiculous Defense Spending. A huge portion of Bible huggers also vote Republican. It never fails to surprise me how religious people see any semblance of humanity in a political party that operates on Greed. A huge portion of gun-worshippers also vote Republican. It never fails to surprise me how people who "value the right to bear arms" lobby for a political party who don't value many constitutional rights otherwise -- big supporters of the death penalty. A huge portion of pro-lifers and anti-abortionists vote Republican. They are opposed to killing unborn fetuses but opposed to letting convicts on the death penalty live -- many innocents, if you consider how racist judges and juries have been putting people in jail. It's as though people who Vote Republican are willingly lead. Those who watch Bush Jr.'s speeches and feel their bloods boil, however, never voted for him. He neither speaks to us nor attempts to. He speaks only to his party and it's followers and not to the American People. |
