(See under Law Enforcement) You know what Ashcroft is after. But this article is not about what the Bush Administration is trying to steal from people in the US -- but the way they will try to achieve it. # FEAR TACTICS It would seem that every act of Terrorism helps the Bush Administration get more power from Americans and the world alike. 911, instead of leading to investigation and public trails, has unleashed two wars in which civilian deaths have doubled those in 911 and amounted to nothing more than coerced Halliburton contracts. Osama and Saddam -- both CIA operatives at one time -- are no where to be found. More American soldiers are dead from the war in Iraq than in the last war, and more anti-American sentiment persists today due to Bush Jr.'s errors, thereby giving a pretext for more terrorist acts on the world by the Bush Administration. # The US Oil Mafia & Military An organization that uses fear-tactics to promote it's corporate goals, the Bush-Oil Junta should be thoroughly investigated for monetary pay-offs -- not just in the future. The present-day US military goes to war only to protect US Interests -- i.e. corporate interests. In the case of the present Iraq occupation we know that the interests are of a smaller group. The Oil Mafia. For years the Bush-Cheney group has received CEO salaries and made money from stock options of Oil Companies. Was this an investment by the Oil Lobby in the future ? Looking at Bush Jr. one can easily doubt his ability to lead a company let alone a nation. What were they paying him to do? He didn't even have to balance the budget in Texas as Governor of Texas -- "the Assistant Governor of Texas is responsible for this job", as Democratic Candidate and Governor of Vermont, Howard Dean often jokes. Iraqi Oil is worth trillions of dollars. This war is costing $2-4 billion a day and taxpayers are paying for it, so a cost benefit analysis doesn't even come into the scenario. The Bush-Oil Mafia is simply stealing money -- from both US Taxpayers and Iraqis. And the very fact that the Bush Administration was trying to link Saddam to Nigerian uranium meant that Nigeria and Africa -- whether through humanitarian doors or military action -- is next on the Oil Mafia's target list. Nigeria is one of the original members of OPEC. Another member and founder is Venezuela. In April 2002 the Bush Administration/CIA tried to murder the Venezuelan President elect Hugo Chavez, and the Venezuelans are reporting a second coup is likely: http://www.wsws.org/articles/2002/dec2002/vene-d11.shtml "Even though the Venezuelan government has largely abided by the economic prescriptions of the International Monetary Fund, the Bush administration is determined to oust Chavez, whose condemnations of US bombings in Afghanistan and friendly ties to Castro's Cuba provoked Washington's ire. Like the Venezuelan ruling class, the US administration sees Chavez's limited reforms and populist appeals to the country's impoverished masses as an intolerable threat to wealth and privilege," says Bill Vann from WSWG.org But the reach of the Oil Mafia is not just in the Bush/Republican Camp. It has friends in other high places like the UN. The Food for Oil Sanction on Iraq which forced Iraq to sell oil at 60 cents per barrel to the US and UK primarily is proof of that. So as news of terrorism reaches one's ears and the Bush Administration pledges to do something to uproot terrorism, one should ask how and why. |
