The Bush Budget Deficit

Bush Administration hiding 44 Trillion Deficit
by Sophia Barkat

Here's the news:

britain_press_030529125334

It just goes to show that this Administration has no interest in serving the people of the country but just a small group of tax-payers who also happen to fund Election Campaigns.

The 44 Trillion Budget Deficit will put a higher burden on tomorrow's taxpayers -- your kids and grandkids will be taxed mmore -- due to past debt.

One can only hope that present and future Govt. Spending benefits people and does not go into the pockets of arms dealers and manufacturers while the poor and the elderly can't get decent healthcare, and kids in high-schools graduate without learning to spell.

re: Sophia's post

The Bush Administration and others of like mind ( the American New Century Group, who did not form in 1997 but back in the 60's that I know of for sure, they just went public in 1997,) do not plan to pay the Baby Boomers their Social Security that they have paid in on all their lives. They plan to declare the government broke at some point.

That is why they wanted the law changed so military can be used against the populous in case there was rioting.  Which they got the law changed in 1996, I believe.

The people who won't get their retirement will be in their sixties so they won't be able to do much but their children could riot. About half of the Baby Boomers have no other retirement at this time but Social Security. Most of the ones that do have other retirement have less than 50,000. To declare the government insolvent and not pay these baby boomers what they paid in is inhumane and unethical.

What are these people going to do?  How are they going to live?

This group that supports the declaring of the government broke have not thought this threw any more than they thought threw the peace process in Iraq. We see the chaos they have there. There does have to be changes made in the social security system.  The Congress has to bite the bullet and make these changes.

There has been among upper-level people talk about the changes that have to be made.  I'm afraid it has just gone in circles and nothing has been decided. But the Congress is paid to make the tough decisions and the sooner they do it and get our country back in monetary shape the better off we are.

The group I represent has made some proposals but they don't like to talk much about it or spend too much time on it because they don't believe Congress will do anything and my group feels it is a waste of their time to spend brain power on it.  But the changes have to be made soon so that people affected by the changes have time to prepare.  It is inhumane and cruel to not give these people time to prepare for the changes before they are too old and broke down to do anything.

It never ceases to amaze me how no one wants to make any decisions.  How everyone in this country wants to pass the buck.  NO ONE IN POWER WANTS TO HELP THE PEOPLE OF THE COUNTRY ANY MORE. They just want to keep their good jobs.  Everyone is looking out for Number 1, themselves, and to hell with everyone else.

Now I feel at this time anyway there are enough ethical and compassionate people in Congress that they will not let the government be declared broke and let the government therefore renege on their Social Security promise to people.  However, whether it will hold true in the future that we have enough ethical, moral and compassionate people in Congress to keep the government from reneging on their promise of social security we will find out in the future I guess.

I personally feel while we have these ethical, moral and compassionate people in Congress we should be making the tough decisions that will save Social Security.  And this is what my power-brokers backers and I are trying to get done. Our candidate for President has said he will make the tough decisions on Social Security and try to get them passed though Congress if elected.  He is an honorable man and will do what he says that I know.  I'm not naming him now as I don't want to jinks him.
